Description
Future-proof logistics and production near the port of Rotterdam, that is RLP!
RLP comprises a total of four buildings with a size of approximately 100,000 m². After the successful completion and commissioning of Phase 1, of approximately 50,000 m² (Warehouse B & C) at the beginning of 2024, development of phase 2, warehouse A & D, has now begun.
The warehouses can be freely arranged thanks to the carefully determined grid size. The specifications meet high-quality standards for warehouses, including the clear height, the load-bearing capacity of the floor, the presence of LED lighting, and an EFSR sprinkler system.
The site provides sufficient space for trucks to maneuver, with separate parking facilities for staff and visitors on the sides. In consultation with the user, tenant-specific items, such as showrooms or additional office space, can be custom-built.

SUSTAINABILITY
The European Union is rapidly implementing rules regarding sustainability and energy efficiency. Moreover, these rules are increasingly being tightened. Therefore, from the very first design of RLP, even future regulations have been taken into account. In terms of CO? and energy consumption, RLP is already prepared for the future.
After completion, the park is expected to return as much as 40% of its self-generated electrical energy back to the grid, even during peak loads. The vegetation contributes to strengthening biodiversity and provides sound dampening and wind protection.Cradle to cradle
The park is being developed in an ecologically responsible manner according to the Circular Cradle to Cradle philosophy. Non-harmful and Cradle to Cradle certified materials are used and the buildings are Designed for Re-use, which means that the building materials can be returned to biological and technological cycles at the end of their life cycle.
CO?-positive
RLP is Whole Life Carbon positive because the buildings, calculated over their entire life cycle, save more CO? than they consume. This is because the warehouses are equipped with solar panels. As a result, they are energy positive when calculated over the life cycle of the properties.
CO? calculations
RLP-A achieves a BREEAM Excellent classification and is Paris Proof according to the embodied carbon targets of the Dutch Green Building Council for 2021. Unlike other parties, Delta chooses to consider its developments holistically, which is why we have also chosen to include the realization of the external terrain in measuring CO? emissions. Our calculations comply with European standards EN15603 and EN15978, with more than 80% of the data based on verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). RLP does not only look at operational energy, but at the full life cycle including embodied carbon of materials. For RLP-A this amounts to 329 kg CO?-e/m². These values fall within the carbon budget established by the Dutch Green Building Council on the path to 2050.
